Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 November 2026

These Terms govern your use of Twinbeam. By pairing a device or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

Twinbeam is preparing for public release on Android with Mac and Windows clients in testing. Public downloads and paid checkout are not currently available on this website. The implemented app features include encrypted links, text and file transfers; Android SMS from desktop; current notification mirroring and supported actions; incoming-call controls; and optional clipboard sharing. Call audio stays on the phone and calls cannot be answered remotely. Message content is encrypted on paired devices; the relay does not receive the channel key.

The service is provided by Olmapp Piotr Olma.

2. Eligibility and pairing

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use Twinbeam. No account is required — pair devices using a QR code or full pairing token. You are responsible for keeping paired devices and pairing invites private, since they provide access to the channel key.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Twinbeam to:

  • break any applicable law or infringe anyone's rights;
  • send unlawful, harmful, or infringing content;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the security, rate limits, or plan limits of the service;
  • resell or provide the service to third parties except as expressly permitted.

Because we cannot see message content, enforcement is limited to technical signals (e.g. abuse of the relay). We may suspend or terminate access that threatens the service or other users.

4. Plans and features

The launch plans shown on this website are a preview and may change before release. Both Free and Pro include end-to-end encryption, SMS, notifications, incoming-call controls and clipboard sharing. Current default Free limits are up to 2 devices, 7-day/100-message catch-up and 1 file transfer per rolling 24 hours (up to 10 MiB). Pro raises those defaults to up to 25 devices, 90-day/1,000-message catch-up and 10 file transfers per rolling 24 hours (up to 1 GiB each). File storage quotas and expiry also vary by plan. Access to phone features depends on Android permissions, device support and platform policy.

Exact limits (such as retention windows and device counts) are enforced by the service and may be adjusted over time; we will not materially reduce what a paid plan already includes during a billing period you have paid for. Features described as on the roadmap are not guaranteed and may change.

5. Billing and payment

Where paid checkout is enabled, Polar is the Merchant of Record. Polar's hosted checkout shows the total price including applicable taxes, billing period and renewal terms before you place an order and handles payment details. Twinbeam receives the information needed to manage your subscription and licence. If no checkout link is available, paid checkout is not currently available on this website. Checkout success alone does not grant Pro access: activate an existing licence key in a paired app and refresh the relay-verified status. A licence applies to the shared paired channel; restoring onto a new channel may require an explicitly confirmed move.

  • Auto-renewal: if offered, subscriptions will renew for the same period until cancelled. The checkout will disclose renewal terms and how to cancel before purchase.
  • Price changes: we may change prices for future billing periods and will give reasonable advance notice; changes never apply retroactively to a period already paid.
  • Taxes: the final price and any applicable tax will be shown before purchase.
  • Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, we may downgrade the channel to the Free plan after a short grace period.

6. Right of withdrawal and refunds

If you are an EU/EEA consumer, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract for a digital service. Starting to use Twinbeam does not by itself waive that right. If a paid service is launched and you ask for it to begin during the withdrawal period, we will obtain any express consent and acknowledgement required at checkout. If you withdraw after performance has begun but before the service is fully performed, you may owe a proportionate amount where the law permits; any loss of the right applies only in the circumstances and at the time specified by applicable law.

Polar, as Merchant of Record where checkout is enabled, handles payment-related refund requests under the applicable checkout terms and consumer law. For help with your licence or a refund request, contact [email protected]. Nothing here limits your statutory rights.

7. Cancellation and termination

You may stop using Twinbeam at any time by unpairing your devices, and you may cancel a paid subscription through the Polar customer portal or contact us for help. Releasing a channel licence or unpairing devices does not cancel billing. We may suspend or terminate the service, or your access to it, if you breach these Terms or if required to protect the service or comply with law. On termination, undelivered buffered messages are deleted per our normal retention.

8. Third-party platforms

SMS mirroring and sending rely on Android platform permissions and are subject to Google Play policy; availability may depend on device and regional restrictions. You are responsible for complying with your mobile carrier's terms and any charges. Twinbeam is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Pushbullet or Google; product names are used only for description and comparison.

9. Intellectual property

The Twinbeam name, apps, website, and content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the apps for their intended purpose. You retain all rights to your own content, which we never claim ownership of.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that delivery is instant or uninterrupted, or that buffered messages will always be available before their retention window ends. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory statutory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded by law (such as for intent or gross negligence, or death or personal injury).

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We will update the date above and, for material changes, give reasonable notice. If you keep using Twinbeam after changes take effect, you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of Poland, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your EU country of residence. Disputes are subject to the competent courts, again without prejudice to consumer rights to bring claims locally.

Olmapp Piotr Olma, Cyniarska 36/109, 43-300 Bielsko-Biala, Poland. Email: [email protected].

15. Launch invitations

Joining the launch email list is optional and is not a purchase, reservation, account or guarantee of access on a particular date. Subscription requires a specific opt-in and email confirmation. We send only early-access invitations and launch announcements under that consent. You can unsubscribe at any time; see the Privacy Policy for details.
